It has taken me a while to get my story on paper (or website) maybe because over the last 40 years there has been some pretty big events in my life! Some amazing and some sad.   I’m no different to you, I’m sure life has threw you some curve balls in your time but as we know (I do now) it’s all about how we choose to deal with them…

I’m often told I should write a book! You honestly wouldn’t believe the 7 year period I had in my life. It was a mess, I look back now and can laugh (nervously!) at some of it, time has been a healer and for some of it time will never fully heal.  You never know one day I may just share.. If it’s taught me anything it is that we are all capable of so much more, we are stronger than we think and anything is possible when we put our minds to it.

I’m a mummy to 5 beautiful babies, they are definitely my finest achievements! It wasn’t an easy journey, along the way we lost our twin boys to the angels not long after they were born. I’m sure you can imagine our lives changed forever and we’ve had to dig deep to learn to deal, cope and create a life we now love.   We are lucky in that we have our 3 mini me’s keeping us strong, driving us crazy and making us belly laugh every single day!!

So here goes with a small part of my journey so far;

I always knew what I wanted to do, at school I loved Art, my vision was to do something creative. I found myself at college studying Fashion design & Garment technology which then saw me complete my degree, leaving university knowing I was destined for a career in the buying industry.. 20 years later that is exactly what I had achieved

It was the 6 years of working alongside the entrepreneurial owners at boohoo that gave me the drive to grab a new opportunity. I didn’t have a light bulb moment to leave a secure, well paid role!!  I just had the feeling (the ones we ignore) for a while that I wanted to do something for myself.   The challenge came when I thought about what that something would look like, I just had no idea!   My main focus was finding out we were having a baby, I wanted to be able to spend time without running back to work which had happened with our older children.  My children were literally my WHY… On paper I had no time to build a business around a demanding role and everything else I was juggling but I knew I had to find it otherwise nothing was going to change..

Having more time working from home, being financially free with was the ultimate dream!

I’m no different to lots of mums who’s priorities change when their families come along.  It actually took me 8 years into being a mummy and baby number 5 coming along to have that feeling that the 9 to 5 wasn’t fitting with how I wanted to live my life.  There is no wrong or right way.  What is important is being true to yourself.

In 2014 was when my journey began to change, I came across an opportunity that had a  genius business model.  Being impulsive, there is no surprise I jumped in.  Never in a million years did I think I would create a business very flexibly around my role, matching my corporate salary (you can imagine my shopping trips!!)

It took hard work alongside lazer light focus, don’t let anyone tell you network marketing is a easy, it’s hard work but super simple.  I had built a successful business around my role, it shows what is possible when you put your mind to it..

I didn’t want to step back into a ‘job’ I’d created a lifestyle I loved, my children were happy to have me home and do the mum things I’d missed out on, I also loved supporting and helping women build their businesses.   I knew that I could offer so much more by bringing my buying knowledge with my passion for helping like minded women.   I absolutely loved the women I was working with hitting their goals, discovering new found confidence, supporting them on personal journeys. It genuinely makes me feel good and if I feel good I’m happy!

It’s been an evolving journey of self discovery with investment in myself, the next 5 years are going to be incredible!!
